Gettin' Laid and Gettin' Paid
My apologies for the little mistakes that have been popping up all over the domain lately, especially on Crazy Uncle George's Store and The Beerquarium. Duffman and I have been doing a lot of work behind the scenes while Thrillhouse has been sitting on his ass and drinking beer.
Well, actually he's been drinking Mike's Hard Lemonade like a little sissy and telling us he's drinking beer. I suppose most of the work is moving things around, especially the ads, so they work with the new subdomains. I also took out a part in Land of Thrillhouse where he called on people to click the Google Ads. He's right in that our money is tied to clicks, but I took it down because it's against the rules to ask you to click ads and it wouldn't be doing us any good if you click on a million anyway. Google only counts the first one for each IP, and it might actually hurt us after that. Their payout system's really a mystery. Quite frankly, they're a pain in the ass.
That's why you see two banners per page these days. We're actually taking out Google Ads as soon as we get paid because we found a different advertiser. Actually, they're even worse, though, so I'm waiting to get rid of them.
But we have to hit a payment threshold before we can claim our Google money and are leaving them up until then, but we have to put in these new ads, too, as our account goes inactive with no impressions. Once the Google Ads hit the threshold (we're most of the way there) you'll just see the other ads. I'm also putting in links to Amazon for various products I reference. Yes, it makes me money. It also helps to illustrate what I'm talking about, as they have plenty of the details of the item.
I have gotten something done other than selling out. On Monday after I updated Kristanna Loken, I updated Shannon Elizabeth and Teri Hatcher as well. It's just one new picture apiece but all the old ones I edited for various stuff. Yesterday I added another shot of Teri Hatcher in her underwear, so if you went Monday, go back again. Also, today I put up two new Christina Applegate shots and cleaned up the others, of course. Hopefully I'll get something else done for my own site, but Duffman does need a lot of help making referral pages from the old address to the new address of The Beerquarium as every page on the old site has to be linked. It's not a domain, so if we just get rid of the pages, it'll go to the 404 page for the main site and the people will get lost.
