Badgering the Witless
Whether he says it or not, it looks like even Mike Huckabee knows that it's over for Mike Huckabee.
For the first time in several months, he's gone back to his day job, giving paid speeches. He left the country over the weekend to speak at the Young Caymanian Leadership Awards. What I wonder is why he couldn't have taken Hillary Clinton and not come back. Speaking of coming back, Hillary mounted an impressive comeback in Wisconsin, only losing by 17% to Barack Obama. This performance in the noticeably Ohio-esque Great Lakes state is her best since Super Duper Tuesday. Since Super Duper Tuesday, she's gone down in Maine by 19%, in Louisiana by 21%, in Maryland by 23%, in Virginia by 29%, in Nebraska by 36%, in Washington by 37%, in D.C. by 51%, in Hawaii by 52%, and in the U.S. Virgin Islands by a whopping 84%. And people scoff at my popularity.
I'm going to do something unorthodox and link an article, "The Underperformer" by Ezra Klein. It raises an interesting perspective about what Hillary Clinton's campaign management says about her claims of experience and ability. Of course, you know that as the foremost Republican politician, I've been very suspect of the former. She's running for the government's highest executive position with political experience that amounts to 7 years in legislative positions (less than Obama, and certainly less than McCain), 0 years in executive positions, and a bunch of time that amounts to taking credit for her husband's positions. As for the latter, the only real show we have of her supposed super-ability in an executive sense was her lead of the 1994 health care reform effort, which even she has acknowledged as a policy disaster. This article points out that she now has a bigger management undertaking, her campaign, which has been filled with amateurish mistakes and has her ungodly expensive cadre of crack political consultants getting their asses handed to them tactically by a rag-tag band of relative political newbies. Meanwhile, Obama is the one who delivered results, on his claims of inspiration and unification, which have been showing up in the inspiration of people to go caucus for him and the diminishing division of demographic groups in his support. McCain also delivered on his campaign promises to get up and empty the bedpan by 11 A.M. sharp.
And you know what? I'm delivering on my ideas about getting you a page of hot female celebrity pictures. It seems that historically, Emmy Rossum hasn't done too well here, traffic-wise. And I have to say that if that's what the people have to say, then... well, screw the people. You know how I feel about the polls. If I learned one thing in my invasion and subsequent occupation of Iraq, it's that the polls don't matter, because The George is always right. That's right, baby. And Emmy Rossum's body is just too spectacular to keep from updating her page, so I did that. I've also added pictures to the pages for Gabrielle Union and Katharine McPhee. Look for me to keep on the update train for a little while instead of dumping in a bunch of new galleries.
